Human wildlife conflict (HWC) is a global problem not only for threatened species, but for humans as well. In many areas of the world, HWC is illustrated through the predation of livestock by large carnivores.

Prof. Weladji will work on a number of projects in the series of lectures:

(1) a synthesis of all the work we have done on the reproduction ecology of reindeer/caribou since 1996, with the aim of developing a book proposal on the topic;

(2) setting up a framework to reorient our ongoing observational-based research, making it more experimental-based.
